Cultural identity:

My poster is about my culture which is Russian and Mauritanian. It has some picture describing some of important things in my cultures as well as some American's culture images. Things that i noticed, and liked about American culture.

Bonus section:

Television is one of the most important part of pop culture. It keeps us posted on everything new in any domain. One of my favorite TV shows is Tyra Banks's show's. I like it because that show not only about one specific thing, it brings a new subject every day and gives advices. I enjoy watching it because each time i learn something new. About health, beauty, relationship and life in general. Good show!

My blog have pop culture's definition and examples in my opinion. Cultural identity included an image from my poster. A paragraph bout a reading i liked. A paragraph about my favorite song. A summary of my movie review and a paragraph about technology and its importance in my life.

Technology:

Technology has become something quite important in my life. First of all, being far from home, and my family, technology helps me stay in touch with them at my convenience. Internet, cell phones are the best way of communicating. Secondly, it is a lot easier nowadays to predict the weather and traffic using the technology. Also, schools and hospitals are producing much more results using the technology. The internet is one of the most important technology in my life. I t would be hard living, studying without it. Plus, it's just fun!

Movies:

The Proposal is about a woman who is willing to do everithing in order to keep her job. Margaret (Sandra Bullock) forces her secretary to marry her, in exchange promises him a promotion. Feelings get involved when the couple spend a lovely weekend at grooms family in Alaska. Feeling the kindness and love of Andrew's (Ray Rendols), Margaret decides to admit her fault and step back. Even if it means to loose her job, Margaret realizes how selfish she was. Andrew on the other hand, loves her just the way she is. And determined to save their fake relationship, and turn it into something real.

Music:

Recently, i started to listen to a completely different type of music. However, some good artist, songs and groups will always be good. One of my favorite songs is called "say hey". The song is very cheerful and makes me smile. One of my favorite artist is Bob Marley. Even though he is not alive anymore, his music will stay alive forever. My favorite type of music is pop music. Everything that is new and make sense could get my interest.

Reading:

The reading that really spoke to me, was the one about text messaging. Once again it listed facts that most of us should be aware of. For example, the danger of it while driving, followed by consequences. How young generation is addicted by texting. But, on the other hand, text messaging, could be one of the most convenient way of communication for some people. To be honest, I am one of those people. I find it much easier to express my self through texting rather than calling.

Pop Culture:

Since taking this class, I have learned to accept and understand popular culture differently. First of all, I've become aware of its importance in our lives. How it could be interesting to be aware of popular people, things, places and events. Secondly, pop culture changed some of my opinions and made me more open minded. Since I have been in the U.S, i became more sociable and much friendly. Plus, I believe i am now more independent and mature than before. Different style of living and different environment definitely changed my life, therefore changed me.
